Write Compelling Story-Based Nurture Emails That Convert Cold Prospects Into Hot Buyers

Email marketing tools like Infusionsoft, Ontraport, Aweber and so on place a huge amount of firepower at your disposal. At the same time these systems are hungry for content.
Preparing email marketing content can feel like you are playing a game of Hungry Hippos. You need a seemingly endless stream of interesting things to feed into your email marketing system.
The problem is that you are busy. You’re not a writer. Your stories are allegedly too boring. You don’t know what to write about.
My thing is that I write compelling story-based nurture emails for the clients I work with. I work with companies that use automation tools such as Infusionsoft, Ontraport and Aweber, but don’t have time to write good quality story-based content themselves.
The problem is this does not enable the client in any way. It breeds a high degree of dependency on me. That dependency isn’t always healthy.
The question I asked at the end of 2015 was: ‘could I train people to do what I do’?
In December 2015 a clearer process started to emerge. I spent three days in Amsterdam at Sean D’Souza’s story telling workshop. What became very apparent was there was in fact a process, and anyone could learn it.
In February this year I decided to put it to the test. I launched a seven-week ‘work group’ for people who want to write story-based nurture emails without relying on a copywriter. Three brave students took me up on the offer.
The outcome of the work group has been fascinating. It has been fascinating to see where the students have stumbled, and where they got stuck. We’ve refined and edited the process, even adding in extra steps.
I should add that the three students in my work group are not copywriters by trade. One is a certified Infusionsoft partner. Another is a sound engineer. The third is a remote office assistant. They have all followed the same process and come out with the skill and the ability to write good quality story-based emails.
